Warsaw Uprising 60th Anniversary 2004

The Polish Arts and Culture Foundation (PACF) presents an exhibit to commemorate this special
anniversary at the San Francisco Main Library from August 6 to October 28 on the 6th floor during
regular business hours. This exhibit is comprised not only of material from PACF Archives, but
also of personal souvenirs and stories of Warsaw Uprising survivors living in the Bay Area who are
members of the Polish Veterans Association. For more information please call 510-599-2244.
On Sunday, September 12, the PACF is spear-heading a Veterans?Commemoration Day in San
Francisco. Concelebrated Mass at 11am at Nativity Church 240 Fell Street near Civic Center. An
Awards Ceremony will take place after that in the Church Hall with Veterans and Polish Scouts
taking part. From 2-3 pm at the Main Library, several Veterans will share their experiences with
the public. A Commemorative Concert will be presented at The Century Club (corner of Franklin and
Sutter) at 4:30pm. The artists will be Ms. Robyn Carmichael and Dr. Anne Marie Gorczyca playing an
all-Polish programme. Tickets are $20. pp must be reserved by Sept. 1st by calling 510-599-2244.
